Chickpea Chundal

This is a quick and easy to make snack which can be made in 20 minutes. It is also rich in protein which is good for evening snack.


Ingredients

Chickpeas : 1 cup
Grated Coconut : 2 Tbp
Green & Red Chilli pepper : 1 each
Cooking oil : 1 Tbp
Mustard Seeds : 1 tsp





Directions

  • Soak  raw Chickpeas overnight or get the canned ones which can be used immediately.
  • Cook the raw chickpeas with salt in 3 cups of water and drain well.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and red chilli pepper. Wait for it to pop. 
  • Add the cooked chickpeas, grated coconut and greenchilli and cook for 5 minutes. 
  • You can garnish it with curry leaves or corainder leaves or serve as it is.
